62 IGNITE INNOVATION

creativity + student voice and choice + anytime anywhere learning
The district 62 techonology goals are on schedule to provide each student with an iPAD throughout its K-8 programs by 2022. District 62 is fortunate to be in a position to provide and maintain a variety of education technologies. Today, the district has over 2,700 iPad devices in use and a majority of them will be upgraded to support learning.

These how-to-guides provide relevant and easy-to-use tutorials for digital learning pedagogy and technology tools. You will find documents, videos, and instruction on more than 100 pertinent topics.

INITIATIVES

Supporting our students in becoming Future Ready.

In addition to creating and maintaining the infrastructure to support all district departments, schools, staff and students, the Digital Learning and Technology Services also maintains innovative initiatives to push forward Future Ready Learning and 21st century skills as outlined in School Board Goal 1. These initiatives are led by our Innovation Advocates and Technology Specialists in partnership with Instructional Services and Student Services.

62 IGNITE INNOVATION

Students use iPad to demonstrate learning and their interpretation of key concepts through the creation of multimedia projects. The camera and microphone are tools to video self-reflections, engage and provide peer feedback on student assignments. Students also use finger or a stylus to naturally annotate ideas and questions on articles or images.
